A call with Will, and one rewrite
Pay £119 in full, or reserve it with £29.75. The other £89.25 waits until you have heard the draft.
A bouquet
Looks right on the day. In the bin by Friday. Says almost nothing about them.
A camera roll
Two thousand photographs nobody opens. The feeling never made it into the picture.
A song of theirs
Press play and you are back in the room. The only version of that day that lasts.
The offer
Four ways to take a memory home. One of them is the obvious one.
The song on its own is £89. The Full Experience is £119. That £30 is the video reel, the restored photographs, the journal and a box. It is why most commissions stop there.
From a story in your head to a thing in their hands.
01
Tell us the story
A call, or the journal. A single sentence about how they answered the phone is worth more than a perfect essay.
02
Will writes it
Chords, melody, lyric - then a recording. You hear a draft before anyone else does, and before the balance is due.
03
You say what’s missing
One rewrite is included. If a line could belong to anyone, it doesn’t stay. We change it until it sounds like them.
04
We seal it and send it
To you, or straight to them. The box is ready to hand over. There is never a price inside it.
From the first families
They didn’t want another thing. They wanted them back for three minutes.
“It brought Mum back to us.”
The song caught the way she laughed, not a generic verse about mothers. We played it at the table and nobody spoke until it ended.
Sarah M. · In memory
“The best present we could have given Dad.”
He went quiet. Then he played it again. He still does, which is more than we can say for anything else from that birthday.
James & family · Birthday
“I cried from the first line to the last.”
A shoebox of photographs and a few messy notes. They sent back something I can keep opening.
Emma R. · Anniversary
“More than a gift. A memory you can keep.”
It was the only thing from the party that did not end up in a drawer.
Michael T. · Celebration

The studio
One songwriter. Not a template with the name filled in.
Memory Lane started when a friend told Will LeGrys there was a time he would have done something with a story. He writes every commission himself in London - melody, lyric, vocal. Technology helps the pictures along. It does not decide what the song is about.
That is also why dates are finite. If someone needs it for Saturday fortnight, say so. We will tell you straight if it can be done.
Not for every occasion. For the one that matters.
Don’t commission this if
You need it tomorrow morning.
A name on a mug would have done.
You want a song that could be about anyone, quickly.
Do commission this if
The person is specific, and a generic gift would feel rude.
There is a sentence you never quite said.
You want something still being played next Christmas.
Before you reserve it.
